School Annual Trip to Gujarat"Just to travel is rather boring, but to travel with a purpose is educational and exciting." Hence to serve this purpose, a team of 30 students along with 3 teachers visited Gujarat -a land famous for its white desert, temples, wildlife, handloom and textile, culture and festival-during Diwali break, to fill their lives with joy. ☆ on 25th of Oct. We departed to Delhi from school at 3pm, reached our destination Delhi during wee hours. On arrival at Delhi, we took a flight to Ahmedabad. we reached there at 11:00 am and transferred to hotel and had lunch. Later we visited Gandhi ashram and Akshardham temple. Finally, it was a time for Diwali celebration. So after reaching hotel, we did Diwali puja and took blessings of Maa laxmi. We all were dressed up in our ethnic attires. It was a gratifying experience away from home. It was a day well spent, but another celebration awaited as it was Siya's birthday so we left no stone unturned to made her happy. ☆ On 27th of Oct., we departed for Kevadia. Upon arrival at Kevadia, we visited Statue of unity and Sardar sarovar dam. Later on we departed for Bhuj. In Bhuj, we visited Aina Mahal, Bhuj palace and Kutch museum . ☆ On 28th of Oct., we visited Swami Narayan temple. We also visited Pragmahal palace and enjoyed on the beach side (Mandvi). ☆ On 29th of Oct., we visited visited Bhuj. The village is famous for its handicraft work. We also visited White Rannoch of Kutch via Hodka village and Dhordo village. We did Bhangra dance there to show our culture. ☆On 30th of Oct., We arrived Sasangir in the morning. There we visited Somnath temple-the historic shore temple at Somnath is one of the 12 important Jyotirlingas of Shiva in India. ☆On 31st of Oct., we visited Gir Wild life sanctuary -the only place for Asiatic lions. There we saw Antelope blue bull, Leopard, Male spotted dear, Sambar dear, Mars crocodile, peacock, Lion and lioness. Later on we departed to Ahmedabad and spent our leisure time to visit CG road market. ☆ On 1st of Nov., we explored the excavation site of Lothal-one of the most prominent cities of the Indus valley civilization period, later we transferred to Ahmedabad airport for a return flight to Delhi. Well it was an amazing experience, looking back at this life's voyage I can only say that, it has been a golden trip ever. |
